Professional deck construction

What We Build

Our decking services cover residential and commercial applications with material options to suit your budget and maintenance preferences.

Composite Decking

Low-maintenance composite materials offering durability without the upkeep of timber. Resistant to rot, insects, and weathering with a range of colors and finishes.

Timber Decking

Classic hardwood and treated pine options providing natural warmth and character. Available in various species and finishes to complement any architecture.

Pool Decks

Specialised pool-surround decking using slip-resistant materials and compliant balustrades. Designed for safety, durability, and Queensland's climate.

Custom Designs

Multi-level decks, built-in seating, privacy screens, and pergola integration. We work with your space to create functional outdoor living areas.

Decks Designed for Queensland Living

Outdoor living is core to the Queensland lifestyle. A well-designed and properly built deck extends your living space, adds significant value to your property, and becomes one of the most-used spaces in your home. Done poorly, a deck becomes a maintenance burden — warping boards, rotting timbers, and structural issues that cost more to fix than to have done right the first time.

We build decks across South East Queensland and the Toowoomba region that are designed for our climate: UV-stable materials, proper ventilation under the structure, and drainage that handles Queensland's intense summer rainfall without rotting the frame beneath.

Decking Materials

Composite Decking

Low maintenance and resistant to rot, warping, and insects. Available in a wide range of colours and textures. Worth noting that composite boards can retain significant heat in areas with direct sun exposure — best suited to shaded or partially shaded areas in Queensland's climate.

Hardwood Timber

Merbau, spotted gum, and blackbutt remain popular for their natural warmth and character. Queensland hardwoods are naturally durable and termite-resistant when properly maintained. Regular oiling is required to maintain appearance and performance.

Treated Pine

Cost-effective structural framing and decking option. H3 and H4 treated pine is suitable for above-ground and in-ground applications respectively. Requires painting or staining for appearance and longevity.

What Goes Into a Quality Deck

01

Design & Planning

We work with you to design a deck that suits your space, lifestyle, and budget — considering aspect, access, material choice, and how the structure integrates with your home and garden.

02

Sub-Structure

Posts, bearers, and joists built to last. Correct bearer spacing, joist sizing, and connection hardware for your specific deck area and loading. Ventilation gaps to prevent moisture buildup under the structure.

03

Decking & Finishing

Boards laid with consistent spacing for drainage, fastened correctly to avoid cupping and movement. Handrails, stairs, and balustrades installed to Queensland building code requirements where required.

Common Questions

Composite vs timber — which is better for Queensland?

It depends on your specific situation. Composite is low maintenance and durable, but can get very hot underfoot in areas with direct sun exposure — a real consideration in Queensland summers. Hardwood timber stays cooler in the sun and has a natural warmth, but requires regular maintenance to keep its appearance. The right choice depends on your deck's aspect, how much shade it gets, and your maintenance preferences. We'll give you an honest recommendation based on your specific site.

How long does deck construction take?

A standard residential deck typically takes 3-5 days for construction. Larger or more complex projects with stairs, integrated seating, or pergola structures take longer. We provide a realistic timeline with your quote.
