Our Process

Site Preparation

Excavation to correct depth, compaction of sub-base, formwork installation, and reinforcement placement. Getting the base right is what separates concrete that lasts from concrete that fails.

Pour & Finish

Correct mix specification for your application, proper vibration during pour, and expert finishing. Expansion joints cut at the right intervals to control cracking.

Curing

Proper curing in Queensland's climate is critical. We apply curing compound or cover as required to prevent premature drying — especially important in summer heat.

Common Questions

How long before I can drive on new concrete?

Curing times vary depending on the mix design, weather conditions, and intended use. We'll advise you on the appropriate wait time for your specific project before handover.

Why is my concrete cracking?

Some hairline cracking is normal as concrete cures. Significant cracking is usually caused by inadequate sub-base preparation, missing or incorrect expansion joints, wrong mix specification, or poor curing. If you have existing concrete with structural cracks, we can assess it for you.

Can you concrete over existing concrete?

In some cases, yes — a bonded overlay can work if the existing slab is structurally sound. In many cases though, it's better to remove and replace. We'll inspect the existing surface and give you an honest recommendation.
